MAY TWENTY-FIRST: Still, green water. My favourite. Tried yellow jigs with red eyes with a silvery paddletail, and a little black nymphy thing. Some weird red-brown stripe spread across the water, and I got some nibbles then but nothing bit. To the very fit woman who walked by me with a joint, and spent a couple hours looking at rocks: Call me. To the fish: Get on my hook. To you: get a haircut. if you want.

APRIL TWENTY FOURTH: Fast moving, medium opacity river water. tried some paddletails, and a pintail, no hits. insane wind went right in my ear the whole time.

APRIL SEVENTEENTH: High, murky water. Caught nothing. Snagged on the ground and in a tree, and rage quit but those sick SOBs were jumping like nobody's business. Trout! Trout! Trout!
